Daniel has over 13 years of experience in Asia and over 15 years of accounting experience. He has been with ECFO since 2007. Originally from Los Angeles, California, Daniel first arrived in Shanghai in 2006 on a government scholarship to research accounting differences between Chinese and US GAAP. Since 2012 Daniel has been a management partner of the firm. Daniel’s specialties are in cost- accounting, financial reporting, financial planning, ERP implementations, financial controls, internal audits, and GAAP / PRC accounting financial compliance. Daniel has also worked on financial due diligence and financial modeling projects as well as held positions as Interim CFO for foreign-invested enterprises in China. In addition, Daniel has arranged processes and supported client’s needs to meet pre-investment and post-merger acquisition requirements both in China and the USA. Over his professional career, Daniel has informed the decision-making of clients from a wide range of industries and of different size profiles, from publicly traded Fortune 500 to SME’s and local startups. In addition, Daniel routinely provides financial analysis for clients, and some of the industries he has served include trading, IT, e-commerce, construction, F&B, automotive, publishing, manufacturing, and consulting services. Daniel holds a BA in Accountancy from California State University Northridge and performed his research scholarship with the Shanghai University of Finance and Economics. He is a Certified Management Accountant with the Institute of Management Accountants and an active member with the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants. Daniel is also a member and Chair of the Financial Executive Networking Group’s China chapter. He is a native English speaker and has professional proficiency in Chinese and Spanish.
