Daniel Galimberti

Daniel Galimberti is a Partner with ECFO and a finance transformation executive with nearly two decades of experience helping U.S. and international companies strengthen their finance functions and prepare for growth, investment, regulatory challenges, audits, and transactions.

Originally from Los Angeles, Daniel began his international career in Shanghai in 2006 through a government scholarship focused on differences between Chinese and U.S. GAAP. He joined eCFO Services in 2007 and became a Partner in 2012.

Daniel has provided Fractional CFO and Controller leadership to organizations ranging from startups and entrepreneurial businesses to private equity-backed companies, multinational corporations, Fortune 500 companies, and publicly listed organizations. His experience includes direct financial leadership of businesses and operating units as well as leading and coordinating teams of multiple regions accounting, finance, and treasury.

Daniel specializes in finance transformation, risk management, cash-flow and working-capital improvement, FP&A, forecasting, financial modeling, profitability analysis, treasury, financial reporting, internal controls, ERP implementation, turnaround support, and audit and transaction readiness. He also supports companies before and after acquisitions, helping management establish the financial visibility, controls, systems, meet investment goals, and accountability required for successful integration and growth.

Daniel is frequently engaged during critical periods when growth has outpaced the finance function, profitability or cash flow is under pressure, management lacks reliable financial leadership, or a company is preparing for investment, acquisition, restructuring, or international expansion. He has been entrusted with mandates ranging from focused transaction and finance-transformation projects to broader oversight of accounting departments, treasury operations, banking / investor relationships, and financial reporting.

His cross-border experience includes market entry, manufacturing operations, international expansion, financial due diligence, and pre- and post-acquisition integration. Daniel has worked directly with owners, CEOs, CFOs, COOs, investors, auditors, tax advisors, legal counsel, financial institutions, and government authorities in the United States and China. He has coordinated hundreds of international matters involving transfer pricing, cross-border tax structures, regulatory compliance, profit repatriation, and the alignment of headquarters’ expectations with local operating realities.

Daniel has served companies across manufacturing, technology and smart devices, software, e-commerce, trading, textiles, medical devices, construction, food and beverage, publishing, consulting, and professional services. His clients have included privately held businesses, multinational enterprises, and publicly listed technology companies.

Combining finance leadership with a strong understanding of technology, data, and automation, Daniel helps companies modernize data capture, improve management visibility, and build scalable finance functions. He also holds a full-stack software development certification from Le Wagon, providing him with a deeper technical perspective when advising technology, IT, and software companies and evaluating complex systems and technology-related decisions. Daniel has led ERP implementations, systems integrations, data-transformation projects, and finance-automation initiatives. His systems experience includes NetSuite, Oracle, Sage, SAP, QuickBooks, Xero, Kingdee, and Yonyou.

Daniel holds a B.S. in Accountancy from California State University, Northridge, and completed his research scholarship at the Shanghai University of Finance and Economics. He is a Certified Management Accountant, a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants, and International Chair of The Financial Executives Networking Group. Daniel speaks English and has professional proficiency in Mandarin Chinese, and Spanish.
